About me ...
Looking for a lawyer who can handle a criminal case with confidence? Look no further! With over 20 years of experience in the criminal justice system, I have defended and prosecuted over 400 trials in courts throughout New Zealand. My experience includes a wide range of charges, from aggravated robbery and arson to driving and sexual offenses.
As a former police prosecutor and Southern Region Police Prosecutor Trainer, I have a deep understanding of how the system works and what it takes to achieve the best results for my clients. I know the weaknesses within the system and the prosecution process, which allows me to avoid making fundamental mistakes that other lawyers might make.
Not only do I have a wealth of experience in criminal law, but I have also practiced in civil litigation and resource management during my time at Community Law Canterbury. I successfully defended clients on driving, dishonesty, and violence charges and even helped a client achieve the largest payout in the law center's history. My most rewarding case was obtaining refugee status for a Burmese fisherman.
As a lawyer who has experienced the justice system from almost every angle and perspective, you can trust that I have the knowledge and skills needed to handle any legal matter with ease. And as a resident of the West Coast, I have a passion for helping members of my community with their legal needs. Let me put my experience to work for you and help you achieve the best possible outcome in your case.
I am based in Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island. We moved here as my family and I love the Coast, the people and everything it has to offer. You will not find anyone who has the passion or experience I have for people in my community. I have lived on the Coast for more than two years and have decided to make it my permanent home.
