With over 20 years of experience in the New Zealand Court system, I have defended and prosecuted over 500 trials in courts throughout New Zealand. My criminal case experience includes a wide range of charges, from aggravated robbery and arson to driving and sexual offenses. I am also a Legal Aid provider with extensive experience in Family Court matters, including initiating and defending applications for protection orders, and acting in disputes concerning the care and guardianship of children.
As a former Police Prosecutor and Southern Region Police Prosecutor Trainer, I have a deep understanding of how the system works and what it takes to achieve the best results for my clients. I know the weaknesses within the system and the prosecution process, which allows me to avoid making fundamental mistakes that other lawyers might make.
Not only do I have a wealth of experience in criminal law, I have also practiced in civil litigation and resource management during my time at Community Law Canterbury.

I am based in Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island. We moved here as my family and I love the Coast, the people and everything it has to offer.
